Broken Spirit
When first I saw this lonely boy
My heart Oh God leaped for joy
I saw his potential
And your plan
For a boy to become a man
Within my groaning heart I cried
For him you’ve known since earth’s first light
Prayers reaching with full love
Coming only from Heaven above

As he turns from sin
And turns Oh God to you

Mold him
Shape him
My God
Your love is wide
Your love is deep
So very high
Pour your Spirit upon this boy
So he would know your everlasting joy

There is your light
Within the reach of this boy’s sight
With Jesus blood he has been bought
Transformed his thought
Changed his heart
Joy to him a brand new start
In that joy cries he
In God’s great love
